WHAT:            The World Premiere of 180° South, the latestfilm from director and world-renowned big wave surfer, Chris Malloy at the 25th Santa Barbara International Film Festival.  Adventurer Jeff Johnson strikes so deeply into the heart of Patagonia's wilderness we come to feel at home there. Retracing the epic 1968 journey of his hero Yvon Chouinard, he gets shipwrecked of Easter Island, surfs the longest wave of his life and faces bitter failure steps from the summit of Cerro Corcovado.  Then Jeff's life turns when he meets up with an older and wiser Chouinard in Patagonia to help save its wildlands.
