Santa Barbara Festival Ballet presents “Nutcracker At The Arlington, with  Live, Full Symphony Orchestra –  A true Santa Barbara Holiday Tradition celebrating its 38th year, SBFB takes you on a magical journey with Clara and her Nutcracker Prince.  Beautifully costumed, with Herr Drosselmeyer and his Clock Work Dolls,  Rat King and Toy Soldiers,  Waltzing Flowers and Dancing Snowflakes,  a giant Christmas Tree that grows before your eyes, and surprises galore in the Kingdom of Sweets, this Nutcracker will delight family members of all ages.  Professional Guest Artists, Santa Barbara Festival Ballet Company Dancers, UCSB Dept of Dance and student dancers comprise a cast of 100 plus.  Nutcracker At The Arlington is one of the rare productions from LA to  San Francisco performed with a live orchestra!   This is Santa Barbara’s Nutcracker! “It is an honor to provide our Central Coast communities with the full cultural experience of the classic ballet The Nutcracker , with Tchaikovsky’s music played by a full symphony orchestra, all under the stars of our historic Arlington Theater”, Denise Rinaldi, Artistic Director.    Three PerformancesSaturday, Dec 8th at 2:30pm and 7pm, Sunday, Dec 9th at 2:30pm.  (Photo image:  2011 Guest Artist Michele Wiles,  Principal Dancer Ballet Next,  dancing Sugar Plum.)
