Rodgers and Hammerstein’s “The Sound Of Music” is a 1965 musical directed by Robert Wise and Starring Julie Andrews and Christopher Plummer. The feature is based on the Broadway musical “The Sound of Music”. Overview: A former nun leaves the convent to become a governess for the seven children of a wealthy, Austrian widower who has grown into a cold disciplinarian. Soon, she opens the children to the wonders of life and the joy of music- and eventually softens the heart of the father and gains his love.
