Cheech & Chong'80's hipsters, Cheech Narin and Tommy Chong entertained a nearly full-house of "highly" enthusiastic fans Friday night. In my observation, the fans were fanatical, almost incredulous about the experience before them.

These two comedians have been the face of the Get It Legal (name of this tour) movement in North America for as long as I can remember. Though they haven't put out one of their notoriously wacky comedies in ages, Cheech and Chong were obviously still squarely in their element.

AF100305-0054Opening for the duo was Tommy's wife, Shelby, who also MC'd the show. It's obvious why Shelby and Tommy have been happily married for 35 years; the two are peas in a pod when it comes to lifestyle, nicely complimenting the C&C duo by adding some feminine balance.

AF100305-0240Shelby addressed C&C as their MC, beginning with an interview and Q&A-like session. Following the innuendo-laden conversation and historical account of their careers, the famously nutty pair launched into a routine of skits, including their first ever, "Where's Dave" (off debut album, Cheech and Chong) and the ever famous "Santa Claus And His Old Lady." The skits were classic, performed in simple costumes and interspersed with some fresh updates and goodies.AF100305-0122
