If you're a fan of Jimi Hendrix or modern guitar mastery, the Experience Hendrix Tour is a show not to miss!

On Thursday night Santa Barbara was graced with the presence of some of the greatest modern electric guitarists assembled on one stage that I can remember in my 26+ years here. In my opinion, the hands-down best
Billy Cox

performance of the night was by Kenny Wayne Shepherd, plucking away at Voodoo Chile. Of course, the bar was set exceptionally high because outstanding performances were also provided by Joe Satriani, Eric Johnson, Brad Whitford (Aerosmith), Johnny Lang, David Hidalgo and Cesar Rosas (Los Lobos), the crew from Living Colour,
Corey Glover, Living Colour

Ernie Isley, Chris Layton (Stevie Ray Vagun & Double Trouble) and Billy Cox, himself (Jimi Hendrix Experience & Band of Gypsies).

Some other great moments included fresh rocker, Johnny Lang, jamming with seasoned great, Brad Whitford. The sold out theater was also treated by Living Colour's Doug Wimbish and Corey Glover

climbing off-stage and jamming in the midst of the crowd. Finally, Joe Satriani's astonishing guitar work closed the show, joining the Colour team for a ripping Fox Lady and Watchtower, and with Cox for one of my favorites, Red House.
